Since 2002, WHEAT have been designing clothing that gives children the freedom to do what they do best: be children. The company was founded in Denmark by Charlotte and Peter Galsgaard and is driven by a vision to create high-quality, natural fiber clothing. Each item is designed to showcase the magic of childhood. The brand’s SS26 collection optimises its beloved characteristics with some gorgeous, transitional pieces, perfect for the seasonal changes.

WHEAT’s namesake hails from Denmark’s famed summertime wheat fields, alongside a dedication to natural fibres. Charlotte’s clear design direction and the couple’s three children act as ongoing inspiration for the company as it focuses on signature hand-drawn prints and graphics each season.

For SS26, WHEAT delivers a bold collection, Summer Island, where nostalgic references meet contemporary functionality. Lightweight waterproof windbreakers, insulated metallic outerwear, and technical softshell jackets set the tone, balancing high performance for children who enjoy outdoor adventures. The main collection explores soft organic cotton knits layered with vibrant patchwork, sticker-inspired graphics, and tactile details, creating expressive silhouettes designed for everyday wear.

With its ethical and sustainable manufacturing practises, WHEAT was a pioneer in its values when founded almost 25 years ago. WHEAT has since cemented itself as a leading childrenswear design house, evolving into a multi-award winning business with dedicated stores in Denmark, London and Canada and suppliers in 45 countries globally.

For SS26, swim styles feature long-sleeved designs with high UV protection, infused with surf culture influences for a confident, laid-back summer look. Footwear completes the collection with barefoot styles, trainers, and moccasin-inspired designs that combine flexibility, comfort, and modern design sensibility.

Some of our favourites in the new collection include the floral print jackets, lightweight rainwear, swimsuits and fabulous barefoot sandals. Pieces are not only beautifully designed but are also made from recycled material, something which is central to Wheat’s ethos. The colour palette reimagines soft pastels through metallic finishes and bold colour pops, while patterns and silhouettes draw on ’90s and early 2000s nostalgia alongside vivid, nature-inspired artwork.
